I swear this is my last post today!  I've made such progress but this one is stumping me!    This site isn't live yet (so all these ads are just "play" ones... I just grabbed some of our advertising ones from one of our other sites).

Here's the page... I have 1 zone setup for the banner at the top, and then a 2nd zone for the 3 banners down the right side:

http://www.beautybythebatch.com/directory.asp

I've been able to change the folder name (trying to get rid of the word banner anywhere as a lot of adblock things just automatically block that word) - I lucked out in that my development software did almost all the folder-name changes for me in the files.  I opened the rest and did a simple search and replace and caught the rest.  I've also changed the name of the aspbanner_inc.asp (again, getting rid of the word banner).

So now my problem.  The top banner doesn't have a "text message" because I JUST want the banners showing up without any text - it works PERFECT!  The side banners though, I put a text message in (the name of the company) but it isn't displaying on that page.  I've checked A) the database and those banners have a text message in the Banners table, B) checked the code around line 209 in the display.asp (your aspbanners_inc.asp file) and its got the code in there to display if the text exists in the array and C) in the admin, when I have it show me the banners for that zone, the TextMessage is there (assuming its using the same function to get the BannerArray info?).

I found the place in the display.asp where it creates the BannerArray (thinking I could see if something wasn't quite working there for selecting the data outta the table) but unfortunately, I haven't ever used the "Application" stuff found in this line:

Banner_Array = Split(Application("BannerZone" & BannerZone),"|")

So then I wondered if it might have something to do with the "div" stuff around where I'm showing them?  Our graphic designer throws everything into "divs" and defines classes, etc.  I created a new file with JUST the iframe tag (so with nothing else) so I could find out if it was a graphic design element interferring and nope... does the same thing here:

So now I'm stumped... anyone have any ideas?

I see the text message under the banner..

As for the application arrays I would advise that you do not mess with them.. they are super complex and not something I support anyone editing

more importantly if you run this directly you can see that the banner system is indeed delivering the line of text.

there for if you do not see if somewhere it is you design elements in your html or something of that nature...

your using asp files.. so I would try using the xml parser method to display a banner.. it eliminates a lot of client side code such as an ifram tag that can cause issues like you are having..

Ah-ha!  Apparently, I have to make the height larger than the actual image so that it has room to show the text message (which I'm sure you said somewhere).  I changed it in the file, but apparently reloaded the wrong page so wasn't aware that I'd fixed my own problem!   I'll go make the other ones larger height-wise!

Ya, I didn't think I wanted to touch the application array stuff - it sounds confusing!   I was just trying to figure out if I could see what it was grabbing to put into the array!

yes you do have to do that with an iframe... and you also have to account for any border pixels if you have a border on the banner..
