I tried sending this to you through your "Contact Us" link, but the verification wasn't working (type whats in the green box, which I did; didn't work.. rinse, repeat).
HTML clipboardI just really want to talk to someone who can discuss this software with me. We purchased a different banner management system a few weeks ago and its been nothing but trouble from the beginning... it wouldn't run to start with (wouldn't connect to the SQL db and our normal connection string wouldn't work). After 10 DAYS of trying to get the support team to answer, they finally did and after another 5 days, got it running. The first time I brought up the admin (which only works in IE while I use firefox so thats a pain), it brings up a very prominent red bar stating "this website is probably a scam so proceed with extreme caution"... yikes! where'd that come from? And when I placed the "iframe" code on our site, we now get a yellow bar warning that the site might be a scam and to proceed with caution. This is very scary! And I can't see exactly whats going on in this guy's files because he has a bunch of it encrypted (basically ANY asp code is encrypted and I can't read the code) - again, this scares me!
I'm on a deadline and I'm already 2 weeks behind... I need a system I can trust in and that someone will stand behind and won't keep throwing up errors that our new website is a scam!!
Is this the right system for me? Help?

Hi,
Not sure what your problem is with the contact form. I just tried it twice with both IE and Firefox and had no issues. Maybe you are one of those people that has cookies disabled. That is all I can think of. Session variables require cookies be on for things like a session captcha to function.
Anyway.. my code works well and it is not encoded. It is pure asp source code.
I will be honest I am no hand holder if that is what you are looking for. I support basic installation. I support bugs if you find any but if you are going to be a quick fire question person who asks 10 questions before you take any resonable amount of time to figure it on your own then I am not your guy. Reason being is the asp code business has died off and guys like me have a lot of other things going on in order to pay the biils. I am not around the computer 24/7. I am usually at one of my 2 restaurants working my tail off.
I do still check the internet at least twice a day but I might not be able to asnwer a question within an hour like I used to be able to do back in the day.
Now if you have half a clue and are decent with ASP code you should not have too much trouble with ASPBanner. It's a rock solid application.
I think I know what aother app you are referring to and I have seen the code. My app is nothing like that. Encoding the asp is dumb.
So if you don't think you fit the bill I would search www.aspin.com and see if you can find something you like there.

Hrm, no, I have cookies enabled (we use them on our sites as well). I was using IE (which isn't normal but I was already in there getting screen shots of these warnings that show up with this other system). *shrug* No idea! If it works for you and you're comfortable with it "just being me" - I'm fine with that!
Hehe, I'm more than half comfortable with ASP and SQL... we use it on all our sites (we have 4 live and kicking ones) for just about everything. I've wirtten most of our e-commerce system from scratch so I think I can handle a banner program - I just couldn't see writing one from scratch if someone else had already invented the wheel!
If your system has no bugs, then you won't be hearing from me at all! Even at that, I always try to fix the problem myself (though I would let you know for your own stuff)... with this other system, that isn't an option because you can't SEE any of the ASP code. I have NO idea whats going on in there and that scares me!
