Dear Sirs,
I just bought ASPProtect.
When I tried installing it, I reached this step: going to http://localhost/ASPProtect/data/setup_info.asp
The page cannot be displayed
The browser answers saying:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A000D)
Type mismatch: 'CByte'
/ASPProtect/data/setup_info.asp, line 7

So, apparently there is a mistake in the script within this asp file.
please help me.

Thank you

Hi,

there actually is no mistake in that file that I know of.. it runs fine here and besides... that file has been the same for years... 100's of people have run it.. and no one has ever reported back that error

I would suspect that since you are from Kuwait that perhaps the regional settings of the web server are causing this problem.. or something of that nature..

I can't test a regional setting like that here because it is not available on my server installations...

Please run the "extras/server_info.asp" file via the web browser and report the results back here so I can look it over.. I want to see what LCID your server is using for one thing

Thanks

ok

1025 is Arabic - Saudi Arabia

Try editing "setup_info.asp" with a text editor

add

<% Session.LCID = 2057 %>

right after

<%@ LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT" %>

Then run that page again and see if it still reports an error...

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your help. I installed ASPProtect and made an admin account. When I put the lines

<%@ LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT" %>

<% CHECKFOR = "4" %>

<!--#INCLUDE FILE="check_user_inc.asp"-->

in my asp file and ran it on the browser, I got the following error message:

The page cannot be displayed

Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A005E)
Invalid use of Null: 'Replace'
/OpList/check_user_inc.asp, line 80

Please help me. Thanks
