I have review ALL of the SQL Connection postings & links re: SQL datafiles & connections in the 2003Server & SQL2005 Server Studio.

I'm hope someone has had success with connectionstring and the creation of a SQL file from scratch, including permissions thereto.

I have already downloaded the 'aspprotect_v8_new_installation_script.zip' and followed the link to www.connectionstring.com. Testing each and every on of those, but yet failed with the closes that I ever got close to was "Login failed for user 'aspprotectuser'" via the troubleshooting within dataconn_inc.asp

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

The app works fine on 2003 server and sql 2005. That is actually what I do all development on.

Is the SQL server professionally set up by a hosting company ?
If not you my not have enabled a very important setting called "SQL Serter and Windows Authentication Mode" Without it on you'll never be able to login using SQL server accounts from ASP code via a connection string.
