I'm getting the following error message after I tried to go to the page "get_me_in.asp":

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e4d'

Invalid connection string attribute

/aspprotect/scripts/populate_config_variables_inc.asp, line 11

I have installed it on Windows Server 03 with SQL Server 2005. The server is mine, so I can make changes as needed. Please advise.

Hi,

Well, it pretty much means just what it says. Your connection string is invalid.

So let's see it... put x's where your username/password would be.

It is on my test server so the username/pw is the default sa account:

The following connection string is in the dataconn_inc file:

ConnectionString="Provider=sqloledb;DataSource=server2;Initi alCatalog=security;UserID=sa;Password=sa"
DatabaseType="SQL"

The following is line # 11 from the pouplate_config_variables_inc.asp file:

ConnPasswords.Open ConnectionString

Humm.. I really dont know..

It sorta looks ok... except there is supposed to be a space in Initial Catalog

If that isn't the issue put this on a live server and I can definetely help you get it working..

you were also missing spaces in data source and user id..

You basically had it pretty messed up.. those things have to be perfect>>
