Hi there

I've used ASPProtect Lite with Access before and it's great.

I've just purchased the full version to use with an MS SQL database with Hostway in London. They've been very helpful, and have changed the permissions at the server end. But we're stumped at an early stage.

I've changed dataconn_inc.asp to show the right connection string info (I think) and changed the database type to 'SQL'.

I've also put the newly generated keys in config_inc.asp

When I try to access get_me_in.asp I get the following:

Any clever ideas for a frustrated newbie?

'ASPP_Config' would be a table in the sql database.

That error means it is not there. Did you look in the sql SQL to verify the table and fields in it are there and correct.

Also, when creating the SQL database you must do so using the SQL creation scripts I provide. DO not upsize an access database as that will cause a lot of problems.

Thanks for those tips. I've got back to the hosting company with all of them.

My suspicion is they didn't use your SQL scripts in spite of my sending them the zip file.

These are two completely different installs on two completely different servers, with different hosts.

I posted in this thread as a thanks for your earlier help.

The problem outlined in the other thread still stands.
