I'm having a problem reconciling the information I can find about the server (GoDaddy) and the options in the CJWSoft settings screen.

GoDaddy is IIS 6. Any suggestions about the setting to try, please?

Gordon

hi,

Well, what exactly have you tried ? What does the server info page say is running on the server for emailing components. Your not really telling me anything.

Generally picking CDOSYS with SMTP authenitcation and a real email server is the way to go..  you just have to enter the email server name and a valid email/password to access it

then you try to send an email to a user from the admin users screen until you get it working .. once it works there it will work everywhere within the application

And if you are wondering what the email server name is it is no different than what you would use when you set up outlook to check an email account. Ask GoDaddy if you still are not sure.

It is usally something like

mail.mysite.com

or

smtp.mysite.com

of course replacing mysite with the proper domain name

LASTLY, What application are you even asking about ? Why is this post in the misc section ? Tell my what application you are talking about so I can move this thread to the correct area.

Thx..
