I am using these lines to connect to my db in the dataconn.inc file:

ListingDataType="MSACCESS"

ListingConnectionType="DBQ = C:\InetPub\wwwroot\_database\asplistings_access2002.mdb\;Dri ver= Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};UID=admin;password=temp"

I've had the hosting company give RWX permissions to the db.

I get a not a valid path messgae.

the answer seems fairly straight forward to me...

"C:\InetPub\wwwroot\_database\" is a most likely a directory path on your hard drive

not the valid directory path on the web server...


so of course your going to get an errror trying to connect to a database on your computer when running the application from your web hosting companies web server
