How do you disable the guesbook so that it will not be accessible? We have had post of items to it that are linked to  porn sites. We have a search feature on the web so it will pull up anything within the site.

Manually remove any links to it and put a <% response.end %> on the top of the actual guestbook page is the thing to do..

I am having problems with people adding porn and drug post to my gallery.
http://www.usbuildingsdirect.com/gallery/guestbook/default.a sp

I saw the reccomendations above. Below is what I did. Will where I added the <% response.end %> put an end to people adding guest info.

Part 2 is I can't remember my pass and user to delete the post in the guest

I need help before my boss kills me.

Thanks,

I dont have an answer for ya... makes no sense tha response.end wouldnt be working for you.

Seems to me the obvious thing to do next is to delete those guestbook pages completely and dont link to them. If the pages are not there nothing can post to the guestbook.

As for not knowing the admin password...  open the database manually and see what the username/password is ?  Or while your in the database delete the guestbook posts all at once. That's the smart thing to do.

Also, unless you really want spam robots picking up your email in plain text and spamming the living sh*t out of your email account forever dont post your email on the internet in plain text. That is what the forum PM system is for.
