I am trying to help a friend who purchased your ASPVendor. He gets this error when connecting to PayPal.

The seller accepts encrypted website payments only. You cannot pay the seller through un-encrypted buttons. Please contact your seller for more details.

He is hosting on GoDaddy. Does he just need to purchase SSL Certificates to correct this link error? GO Daddy sells a a Turbo SSL package for Domain-only validation will that work?

Hi,

SSL really has nothing to do with this. Your friend has his PayPal account configured to only accept encrypted payments and ASPVendor does not support encrypted Payments. He needs to go into the PayPal account settings and change that option.

Would this be a bad thing to do on his Paypal Account? No encryption sounds bad. For what he paid for the ASPVendor maybe he should tank this project or is this something that you will be incorporating soon?

Personally I'd turn it off and not worry about it. I have been selling software using PayPal for about 6 years now. I do not encrypt my payment buttons and have NEVER had an issue .
